    I found this part interesting:

"The full FTR 1200 specification is yet to be announced, but it will embody a flat tracker style, housed in a trellis frame and powered by a new V-twin engine."

So they aren't just re-purposing the Scout 1200 motor for this. Veddy indurresdink

I am pumped up. I can’t keep the Bobber’s on the showroom floor. This is going to get real fun.

I saw the email, as well. It would be a fun bike to bop around on. I'd take it and have fun with it if I won it, but won't be buying one

I missed that. My money is on a modified Scout engine. They've been claiming 120 bhp in many interviews in Europe lately.

Dam the fine print. How about the part that Canadians can enter except for the province of Quebec. What? They don't like francophones. If I get a vote they should just give you a red one and make you the world ambassador for the FTR 1200. Just saying.

Yeah, I wondered about that Quebec thing as well and decided maybe it had something to do with tax laws or like Tasmania in Australia many years ago, I think prizes were deemed gambling in some way and not allowed.

And I accept the position of World Ambassador for the FTR1200, and will swear to administer the role to the utmost of my ability, not just for the FTR1200 but the entire Indian Scout range. I am truly honoured with the receipt of this award and position,......
    Regards,
    Alpal

Yet another new engine? They surely have plans for it to be used somewhere else. No?

Sharp eye Buddy,.....I wondered about that too and thought maybe they had a bundle of Victory motors sitting round doing nothing so rather than waste them?,.......

You might have something there. Being water cooled, if they punch it out they might have a work horse for the touring crowd and target the Goldwingers.

Ouch! I'm not sure the platform is big enough for the Scout to be targeting the Goldwings,.......that's a big bike and the Scout is a baby, size wise next to one. The Octanes are/were 1200cc's to start with and while they ( Indian) may do something radical with engine size in the future I expect they will cross the start line with just the 1200.

More likely to be around 750cc, part of American Flat Track rules. What you race must also be in production.

    Yamaha FZ-07 690
    KTM LC8 950
