I recently had a friend ask what percentage of members were riding which Indian model and I was ashamed to say I didn't know if we had that information readily available. So after some thought, I decided that we need a poll to allow us to better track who rides what. We also need to be able to add or change the entries when we sell or trade our Indians. So here it is and in the form of a sticky so the content will be compact, to the point and easily accessible to all.
Your participation in this informative poll is appreciated!

    Very cool post!
It will also serve to see a demographic buying these bikes.. I'll predict the Scout will be a top contender to stay, not just because of the low cost of entry, but because I believe that the Scout will pull more import riders than any other American brand or model has ever done in the passed. I'm one.
You couldnt get me to own what America offered before Indian with out paying ME a monthly fee. I respect the big Indians and there more forward engineering, but they don't lend to my reasons for riding.
Scout is the one that got me hook, line and sinker, having never even cast the line into the water...

The Scout is where the real performance tweaking will be too I think. Not to say the 111 won't but it will be more expensive I think so more guys will be playing around with the Scout more. And of course it's the Scout that's being raced. Will there ever be a 111 raced?

That's a good idea. I can't wait to see what Andrews and Woods do with their TS111 Cams. I'll have some next year in my DH. :D:D

I would have thrown a vote for a Scout to. But it's the Stepgrandson's.
I'm just storing it for now.

Yuppers. It's because it liquid cooled. not a bang against it, just that with Air cooled, that's always your limiting factor when performance is the design drive.

True that.. but if I'm picking up what your putting down, in order for that camparo to be linear, it would have to include scouts in as many different configurations the big'ns come in.

The OP's purpose of the thread is meant to illustrate what percentage of each model offered is owned by members. Each bike listed is a model, so thus far, of those members participating, the Scout out sells the others with the Chieftain coming in second. Also keep in mind that this is a member poll, and not every Indian owner is a forum member.
It will interesting to see where it stands in six months or so and it would also be interesting to see where these numbers compare to actual model sales, although those numbers may not be readily available. As far as this thread goes, each bike is a stand alone model.

It's interesting that I've not seen one single Scout in this part of the country which is Montana/Idaho/Washington. I'm sure they are out there, just haven't seen any. The Meridian/Boise ID area was swamped with TS111 model bikes when I was there this past spring. They were like flies!

Wonder if Indian will release more models based on the Scout engine (60 or 69) in the future?

I've not seen a single Scout either in my one horse town yet there are 3 111's but I've only actually seen 1 others. But that guy has seen the other so it is here. But it is strange that we all haven't seen 1 Scout. If it wasn't for these forums I'd think the Scout was just someones daydream.

That there would have to more than 2 Scout models To be a linear equation to the 5 models of the big ones. Of course there will be more big ones out there. There are more big ones to cover more riders wants/needs/styles...

Ie, If one group of people consist of only 20% of total population and causes 50% of total car accidents, and the other group of 80% of the population is responsible for the other 50% which group should go back to drivers school?
