DA25033C-1717-42A9-A5DC-68DE581A96AC.jpeg By the way NyMike, do you know how much that mail run from Florida to Alaska pays? You were pretty close on your estimate of my mileage! The bike still runs great as long as I keep my speed up to keep the VIRUSES from getting into it !!! Pretty good photo I took in my shop , I prefer the definition jokingly, photoshopped!!! I know I have been off this site for awhile but sometimes life’s demands can get really time consuming. Hope you are well and everyone else on here is too !

098248B9-D306-48A5-B083-29D15EB53AA1.jpeg Happy Father’s Day to all of our Indian Motorcycle dads ! This picture is at a creamery in the tiny town of Nelson Wisconsin. That’s the Twin Bluffs in the background along the mighty Mississippi River. We are fortunate to live near such a beautiful and quiet place to eat outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter where there is a wine room and a fireplace!

B18DCD5A-26CC-4F7B-ABBB-2C8A9B44446B.jpeg My 2014 Chieftain is 6 years old today, 1000 hrs per year average or 55,000 miles per year average. I wish the motor in my body ran this good! Indian Motorcycle has built one tough motorcycle as this engine still runs strong and has been the most dependable bike I’ve owned. Still the same drive belt, clutch, injectors, rear brake pads,,,,,,,,,, just not the original tires !!! There is a 55 mph average for the life of the bike when you divide the total miles by the total hours, so this bike is not babied at all ! The starter was replaced around 250,000 and 2 clutch cables but no mechanical issues at all. Ride safe everyone and stay alert,,,,,cause trouble never comes at you slowly !!

I can only hope for that kind of mileage and dependability out of my Springfield. Three years of ownership and I've replaced the battery and voltage regulator. Real bummer there.

I hate to admit it.... I'm in my fifth season of riding on the original battery...
The only other things that's been fixed/replaced on my Springfield (2016) is from recalls...it's been a great bike. My wife and I have done a 5-10 day vacation on it every year.
