That could be a downhill ski run. Speaking of which, I'm planning on getting out on the slopes next week. First time in several years.

I was just looking at my snowboard. Haven't been out in 3 years, sadly.
I used to be a ski bum in the winter.

I say that often. All it needs is a chair lift to look right.

I was a certified professional ski instructor, and National Ski Patrol member for more than 20 years. Got too busy to keep it up.

Well, since the weather is going to be crap for the near term, here's a ride I took on Weds.

Got home earlier than expected from an appointment, and the weather was near perfect for a ride, so I dusted off The Bobber and did 104 miles near Tim's Ford Dam.

Wow, the lake level was pretty low....

I never officially instructed, but we raced and one of my boys competed in Xgames type big air events and brought home a decent amount of $.
I closed my business for the best months of winter and the boys and I lived on the slopes. Nothing like it. I gotta get back to it again. I live an hour from a hill now. Used to be in the middle of the White Mountains. We could jump on a slope for an hour or two anytime.
I switched to the board because it was better for my knees and fell in love with the dang thing. Sucked on the flats at times!!

Nice! I tried snowboarding for a day back in my 40's, but I was extremely exhausted at the end of that day. I think I'll stick with skiing.

Today I rode my motorcycle in my mind.

    More rain today.

I stay dry in my mind. And go faster.

    Think I need help.

Anyone who buys a decorative rug for their bike DEFINITELY needs help.

    Another bike would help me.

Let's start a GoFundMe. Maybe someone will help.

BAAFDB70-3F76-4A9C-871B-562DA2D233B7.jpeg Did my weekly ride to the big cypress today. On the way back I spotted this little fella lying on his back in the road. Had a little shell damage but nothing too bad. Car must've clipped him. Put him in a safe spot.

Went on a Christchurch Earthquake memorial ride today.
It's 10 years since our city crumbled and the organisers where hoping for 185 riders to honour the 185 lives lost on the day. It was an awsome day and so many more than that turned up to ride and remember. 20210220_100558.jpg

    Another mild day, another fever...

I love this "mental health" loop.
