131mph wheelie on Indian FTR1200S
errrr,....no,.....not this Kiwi,.........
The pipes are parallel to the ground during a wheelie.....coincidence or design?
My former brother-in-law once briefly held a wheelie world record, but for distance. He lead the Rose Bowl parade one year on the back wheel of something. Unfortunately someone with an electric motor spinning his front wheel and adding gyroscopic stability went farther than my former b-I-l before he got into Guinness. More unfortunately, he killed himself in a Bede jet preparing for an air show in Canada. He'd been a USAF fighter pilot instructor and then a captain for Southwest Airlines, and pilot for one of the Coors Silver Bullets (Bede jets).
Doug Domokos “The wheelie king” pioneered the electric motor on the front wheel .. Ironically he died in an ultralight aircraft accident as well .. small world ..
B-I-L should have petitioned for a record for "non-mechanically assisted" wheelies. Yes, small world.
