I just added Heated grips and Indian Highway bar closeouts to my new sled. Already been using the heated grips on the cold mornings and the Closeouts our working great to keep the wind off my legs and feet. Still waiting for the new Ultimate heated seat to come in. Should be ready for what ever old man winter has to dish out.

Adding a de-cated head pipe. Already have a good dose of Startron in the fuel tank.

Gerbing heated jacket liners and gloves. Highly recommend. They've got heated pants liners and socks, too. The Executive Department and I both have jacket liners; she has gloves, and two dual-channel controls (jacket and gloves for her, jacket and spare channel for me).

Luckily, down here in corn pone country, no preps are needed for the "sleds." Well, none for the RM, anyway -- heated grips, heated seat, closing vents on the lower fairings. We have a mild winter projected. 'Course that means wet winter, probably, and I'd rather ride in dry cold that wet chilly.

I'm liking those close-outs. Where did you get yours and what brand?

As far as the sled (don’t hear that term much anymore) goes, I’ll put the windshield back on and install my Hippo Hands when the temps get in the teens and my heated grips and winter mittens can no longer handle it. I removed my crash bars but will reinstall them with the Elephant Ears if my First Gear thermal lined pants don’t do the trick.

Indian brand, bought at my Indian dealer. They're about $150, definitely worth it IMO. I was looking at the new Indian lower fairings but at $950 plus $400 for new style highway bar, I thought this would be a more affordable option.

Same answer. Indian brand from Indian Dealer. If my First Gear shit works, I’ll more than likely sell the Elephant Ears, but might be a while before the temps get low enough for me to make that decision.

Cool, that accessory can extend my riding season.

P.S. You've mentioned moving to AR.in the past. You may wait to see if their needed in that region before selling. Most Winters in Northwest AR are mild for the most part but can get pretty brutal Winters also.

I know the humidity will be a factor. Here in the AZ high country, it can get down into the single digits. I’ve ridden as cold as 7 degrees Fahrenheit here and that is just miserable, doesn’t seem to matter how well you bundle up, the cold seems to find a way in.

Hell that's colder than NW AR 99% of the time so you're good.
You'll see much more rain probably.

Question, what about a snowmobile helmet and outfit?
    The helmets are heated too.
    Or is it the visor?

I believe it’s just the face shields. I thought about getting a heated Shield for my helmet but the pinloc seems to work well as far as fogging goes. If it’s snowing or ice is forming, I’m in front of the fireplace with a drink and a magazine.
