Sorry for a personnel question, but this is the first year in the past 7 that we can’t go on a extended (more than 9 days) trip. The wife has to go back to Japan for a month, some sort of death ritual for her dad that pasted away 7 or 8 years ago. I’ve got many home improvement projects that I’ve put off over the past couple of years, now to keep happy life, I must make happy wife as it were.
So, long story short, I’ll be living vicariously through you guys and gals. Please take lots of pictures and post when the trip is over so I may get to see someplace that we would love to go to.
Note 1: Never post pictures while on a trip. It’s a good way to inform those that your home is not occupied.
Note 2: Please stay safe and watch for the dead-walkers and dead-drivers out there and return safely back. Too many of us over the past few years have had extended stays in hospital and on their backs at the house.

It's a toss up at this point... southern 1/3 of CO - Durango & Million dollar hwy, or MT & Glacier Nat'l park.

It won't be until September-ish for my trip to Utah. I'll be on the road for about 19 days. Will do some meandering in Colorado on the way there and back. Once in Utah, I'll stay south of I70.

You will need to google map this if your interested. New Zealand. Leaving Stratford, Taranaki region, heading down to Wellington, ferry across the Cook Straight to Blenheim. A town that has a huge wine growing reputation and some of the best weather in the country. Then to Christchurch, @Rodd turf (home of the earthquake damage and 1 year ago mosque massacre of 52 people). Christchurch to Wanaka. Meet up at the most southern in the world Indian dealership, Wanaka Powersports.Group ride from here with IMRG. Ride to Queenstown onto Glenorchy for lunch, return via Arrowtown and Cardrona back to Wanaka. (these towns are world famous for tourists to our country and so, so beautiful) .Now me and the little lady. Then up the wild west coast to Frans Joseph (glacier area), up and then down to Arthurs pass staying at SPRINGFIELD. Then up the Lewis Pass to Motueka and over to Takaka returning back to Picton to get the ferry back home. I can't wait, Autumn is slowly creeping in here so hopefully will be cool mornings and nights with glorious sunny days, haha, probably raining if you know the west coast of the South Island.

I personally like the hwy from Durango and go up. I kinda like the mountain side closer than the cliff side.

We're looking forward to seeing you both down this way @muz and and hopefully we can fit in a local ride, maybe lunch in Akaroa, before we hit the road on the IMRG run to Wanaka and Glenorchy. Bev and I rode from Wanaka through to Haast and up the West Coast last month, the mountains and lakes in that area are spectacular, you're in for a treat.

My wife and I annual bike vacation will take us to Southeast Ohio into West Virginia and possibly up to Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania.

A shorter trip later in the summer takes us to Spirit Lake Iowa and visit the Indian factory.

My annual trip to Branson, MO in May for IRIP. Other than that, nothing planned, but a new girlfriend that loves to ride tells me that we will be doing a few more trips!
