    Great to hear @RBinTEX - I reckon grandkids fill up your life. Congrats!

    You are an inspiration. I just hope I can still ride at your age.

    I do like the RE plan, but I can still handle the SF, so for now, will stick with her.

    I'm 47 and really happy to see so many people that have been riding for so long, gives me hope that I might as well! :blush:

    I need to re-do the survey. When I first did it, awhile back, I was in the 55 - 64 category. Now I am proudly a part of the 65+ elite!!

    I am still a bit “wierded-out” by that number, as I don’t feel like I am in my mid-60s. Maybe I will when I am in my 70s . . .

    Indian = fountain of youth.

    60 next month with 20+ on two wheels. I hope Indian can crack that 25-44year olds group. I rode prior to kids and again when youngest turned 10 so he’d remember me just in case (and upped my life insurance!).
    But the group before kids and again when kids are semi-self sufficient wanting to spend more time with their pals creates some seat time for parents. That age group has a few extra bucks enough to buy a reasonable priced Indian. Need to market harder to the “Dad bod” types. just my $0.02. A short ride now and then to unwind made me a better Dad.

    I have a feeling that's one of the demographics they aimed for with the Scout, but that's just my personal feeling.

    I agree the Scout is a great entry level bike and even the new Chief except perhaps it’s price point. They have product but I’ve not been impressed with marketing to the 30 year crowd. I’ve seen Scouts on TV commercials, some adds in motorcycle mags but that’s it. The demo truck doesn’t get enough exposure. I don’t know jack about marketing but I can recognize a lack of it. I’m not disparaging Indian, I love’em! That’s why I want see them step it up and grow our family of riders.

    If you look back through at who has joined this forum you will be surprised at how many 20, 30 and 40 year olds have signed up,.....sadly though they have chosen to be lookers not contributors,.....and the vast majority of them ride Scouts. Entry level bike?,.....Yeah if you want to treat it like that but let me say this,.....Last Sunday I was out with my cousin Neil who rides the latest Rocket 3. There was no way I was going to top his rocket 3 on my Scout but as we sat for coffee he yet again said that the Scout surprised him on how it performed,......On more than one occasion I was exceeding 120MPH catching him up,......What's that got to do with age?,..........I may be 71 going on 72 but last Sunday?????,......I was young again!!

    I'm in my (late) forties myself, and just bought a Scout, so I'm more or less in that demographic? I've been riding for some 20 years, and I must say the Scout performs extremely well as a bike for someone with experience, so when I said it's a good entry bike, I didn't mean it disparagingly. It's a perfectly fine bike for people with experience, and I'm pretty confident I can take it touring, though I'll have to wait until my next vacations to test that lol.

    When I said it's a perfect entry level bike, I meant that the price point and the "sportier" riding experience might be very appealing to people new to bikes, or people with experience with smaller bikes and new to cruisers.

    I know you didn't Bud,......I simply wanted to emphazise the point that the Scout has many guises,......Some say it's a Lady's bike,......Yes that's true,......some Lady's like to putter around doing nothing 'out there' because that's how they like to ride,......but then there are other Lady's who ride,....somewhat differently,......I may be wrong but I simply cannot imagine our @Gina and a couple of other ladies on the alternative forum putting round the block on a Scout at 30 MPH,........So the Scout is a suit of many colours (Spelt correctly). I openly admit to praising the Scout to all and sundry because there are many, even on this forum who have the idea that the Scout is nothing special,......Well, both you and I know that that ain't true,......

    That's all from me tonight as I am bushed,......yet another ride with Neil and his Rocket 3,.....up the Parapara's and back,.....roughly a 180 mile round trip,.....It's a little like Tail of the Dragon but while also hilly, perhaps a little flatter,.......I swear at times, If I had of put out both my arms the Scout would have taken off!!!!! The Scout is good but there ain't no way it's catching a Rocket 3!:(:(:(,.....
