Another here that clicked the 71 mark ..
I was 75 when I started this thread Alpal...
Growing old isn't for sissys, to quote an old saw!
I sold my BMW that I had a couple of months ago and still thinking about my next bike.
Maybe a Royal Enfield twin?
Some old Saddle Tramps here for sure. Gives me hope as a youngster of 65 !
Great choice in my opinion, Have seen and heard the 'Sports' or GT is it? Looks good sounds good,........Next thing from you should be pics Buddy!!!!!
PS,....Pros,.......No Kenda tyres,.......No suspension mods,.....no battery failures,......
Cons,.....You tell us after you buy one!!
72 1/2 here......still cranking the Scout past 100 regularly
"What is Your Age..."
As a telling sign, I have got to the stage that I had to re-check the last few pages of this thread to see if I had posted in it already. Turns out I have, three times!!
I am now 6 months away from being "promoted" into the top age category - at least that is how I see it. Seriously though, other than a couple of relatively minor physical limitations:
I feel (relatively) great
I have a wonderful (i.e. patient and tolerant) wife and an awesome family (12 grandkids)
I am very happy in retirement - not the least bit bored
I own, and have time to ride, an amazing bike
I have some terrific mates to enjoy life with
Life is pretty damn good.
I am sure many other 65+ riders would agree . . .
this is nearly identical to what I could have posted
53 but cannot believe where that age has come from, I was 23 only a couple of years ago or so it seems!!
Seems like I thought 50 was old a couple of weeks ago and now I'm 21 years past it ..
I am 68. I feel like a cyborg with all the metal in me from a near fatal bike wreck in Aug. 2014. lol
I'll be 78 in Feb. Just got a '17 Chief vintage. I've had Harley's, Chiefs, Indian fours, Nortons, scooters. Restored many antiques over the years....a few national .National prize winners. Mitch
Looks like I’m one of the youngsters on the site, at 60. Feels like I’m ~35 or so, thanks mainly to a terrific wife of 38 years! Also helps to ride a great motorcycle - that’s some stay-young elixir for sure!
59+8....I stopped couting at 59.
Life is pretty damn good except for my wife’s medical issues.
I am sure many other 65+8 riders would agree.
Yeah. I'll be 78 in a month and happy as hell with my '17 Chief Vintage. Mitch
See what old age will do???????????????? I posted my age twice in 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mitch E
Thank you for your service! I have a lot of respect for our vets.
I’m 53. Started riding when I was 10yrs old on a Suzuki DS 80.
