You could have a very valid point. Guess we'll have to see how well they sell.

I'll still always prefer the skirted fender.

Ditto. It's funny to me because the Chief Darkhorse caused me to fall in love with Indian and now Indian turns it into Dyna with a steel frame.
So it's a win? Maybe Jeannie's right, copying Harley really has been the plan all along.
I had hoped that the #ChiefGlide wasn't the start of a trend. But hey, I bought one.

What I like best about the new line up is probably this. I don’t have to buy a new bike ! Because nothing I see grabs me like my 18 chieftain ! LOL just Rollin on till 22 !

That looks so much better I just hate that cut rear fender rubbish it is.

I feel the same, I like unique and original, but I guess it has always been a back and forth of replication. I’m ok with it, as long as they keep producing quality products and don’t make the same mistakes H-D has made. I have a book called “The Harley Davidson and Indian Wars” and the punch, counterpunch strategy is pretty nicely illustrated. I just hope they never try to make one of those hideous FXDR things.

I'm with you on this. For me bobbed fenders make no sense at all for all weather touring.
Will be interested to see if the Scout fenders fit.

And I wondered how that big 15 litre tank mounted on,.....Would it not be great if it fitted a Scout?

With 19" front, the Chieftain might.

Maybe. Knowing how Indian likes to play with us, they probably already thought it all out and the Scout or Chieftain fenders bolt right up. Then people will be scrambling, haha.

Would the swing arm and everything need to be identical to the scout with a new frame may be not.
More than likely they will morf this bike into a heritage style with that sort of rear Guard, or it would be a bolt on outrages priced part. Did Muz not poop his pants on the price of a new scout rear guard recently.

Meh....it's all in the ride. Attitude and coolness is transferable with time, alcohol and alimony.

nice lookin trimmed down models,EXCEPT the tractor tyres on 16's! Victory bikes ran more common sizes + looked better + handled better for it. fat tall sidewall tyres is a "band aid" hardly uses to help their poor but getting better suspensions!! but overall a move in the right direction + although some prices are a bit lower they could prolly do even better IMO!!
