Nice to see what personal mods others are doing to their Springfield. Here's mine. Just added new custom seat and tank strap.

Love the seat. Is this seat custom made or an aftermarket?

The seat is custom made by Rocky's seat and saddlebags. He uses the original seat pan and foam. Great guy to work with. He is also making me a set of matching saddlebags with fringe and lid covers for my Hardbags. His quality and workmanship is excellent. If you go to Rockybags.com you can get his contact info.

Added the Kuryakyn rear fender LED strip lights. I love the Springfield but it can use more lighting to increase visibility specially at night as the rear light is minimal IMO and I do a lot of night riding. The added lights help to create a more vivid presence specially when the brakes are applied.
Installation was easy; took about two hours, a beer and a cigar..... These light strips are attached alongside each side of the rear fender with 3M adhesive tape which although I'm not very fond off gluing stuff on the bike, seems to work fine......so far

I know a few people that have installed these and they work great. I’m about to pull the trigger on them too.

    Two questions for you:
    1. How difficult was the install?
    2. Is the tint too dark for night riding?

Not difficult at all. Just remove and reinstall brackets from the stock shield onto the new one.

If you look through the shield as opposed to over it, I’d say it’s to dark for night use.

I added them to my 2015 Chieftain last fall, they work great and more lighting from the rear is important for sure.

Tried the Ultimate seat from my Chieftain on my Springfield. Excellent match with the Indian tan leather accessories.
