Has anyone gone from stock OEM to Utimate and hated it so much they went back?

I think you'll find the opposite around here. There are a few with Ultimates that posi-lutely love'em.

I have stock. Haven't heard of Ultimate. My stock is harder than Hades on my skinny butt, though. I'd love to invest in the heating/cooling seat, but have to swallow hard on the $1,900 price tag.

The Corbin version is a few hundred cheaper.

No way. Ultimate is much more comfortable than the stock Chieftain seat. That being said I've heard the Roadmaster seat is also better than a Chieftain. I've put Ultimages on the last three bikes I've owned.

    The Roadmaster seat is great.

Corbin makes a heated/cooled seat that fits the RM?

I'd hate to try a Chieftain seat then. 50 miles on my RM seat and I'm squirming my butt.

There are some that don't like the Ultimate as they do turn up for sale occasionally. Probably about as often as Corbin, Mustangs, and Daylongs...

I found that the seat position on the stock Chieftain seat was my main problem. I was too far forward. Mean City Cycles rebuilt it twice and after some long conversations, some pictures of me on the seat, they advised that I find a way to move back an inch or two. MCC could not make that happen due to the stock seat pan.
So if you are tall (I'm 6'3"), maybe moving back and/or up will help.

This one might catch a few raised eyebrows. I went from OEM to Ultimate but had always heard even better things about Russell Daylong conversions so I went with one and sold the Ultimate. I should never done it. It took awhile but after several months I realized the Ultimate was a much more comfortable saddle for the long trips I make on occasion. The Russell has just never fit me the way I think it should even after 15k miles now. It's okay but that's where it ends.
