Hi, I had for the first time on my 2017 roadmaster this warning lit up, a triangle with a ! in it. In the handbook it is defendant more like a key symbol in the triangle, just wondered if it means the same thing. I cut the ignition, restarted the bike and it went out. Martin
According to page 1 of 259...this manual covers everything from the CDH to the RM. if you’re going to argue talk to your dealership.
I do apologise my friend. I was not meaning to argue with you, I have misunderstood the manual in respect of the different models and sections.thinking that each listing refers to the listed models Kind regards. Martin.
Gotcha. Nope covers all of them. Still with that kind of a fault I think I would still be talking with my dealer. Know what I mean? It’s pretty darn vague.
Yes it is. It only came on just recently on a run out, but I’m going to like you say to the dealer but I’m pretty sure I don’t have the key symbol on my roadmaster. It’s only happened the once, after stopping and restarting the bike it cleared. Thanks warlock.
Perhaps one of our more experienced members can tell you but off the top of my head I don’t know what might fault on the chassis.
thank you warlock. That’s the nice thing with this forum got some great bunch of guys with the experience makes it worth while. Thanks oce again.
"Chassis Fault" means some sort of ground fault - everything is grounded to the chassis and 1 loose connection somewhere can give all kinds of weird and false readings.
Just took a quick picture of the Rev counter to show you the symbols I have on my road master. Thanks for your help warlock.
I had that happen once after first got my CDH shut it off and it cleared never happened since so just figured was an ECU Gremlin lurking ..
I have that warning come up heaps on the Scout but it's because when I stop I always put the sidestand down to kill the bike. So when I turn the ignition back on the warning is there untill the bike is running. And yeah, I know you talking about big sisters and their problems but hey, its early morning down here, I can't sleep again so you guys are entertaining me,..... Alpal
The time it happened to me now you mention it had backed up with the kickstand up .. Does not shut off unless take off in gear .. Long Story Short When put it in Gear and Left Noticed the warning was on but ran fine until I stopped and shut back on and all was clear so possibly a kickstand fluke as well .. This is my Post #1949 a Good one for us Both Alpal ..
Aha, Now I remember, We had stopped for a coffee and after getting back on the bike my wife had problems getting on again ( First run out for her this year ) so I put the side stand down, and of course the warning light came on. So I went to pull away and stalled the bike. side stand retracted but light stayed on. Bingo. Big thanks to Warlock, Alpal, and JayFL459 Going to get it checked out next week with the recent safety recall over hear with the 2017 RM
