    Hi All,

Well there's no way I can afford to pay another 2040 kiwi dollars for a set of Indian saddlebags so I've looked around and found Viking saddlebags who have a special on at the moment which is hard to refuse. But before I buy I thought I might ask if any here have bought and fitted a set and what they thought of them. I know they are not quite a colour match to the Scout desert tan but I could possibly live with that, perhaps, depending on what comments I get back. So, please, if you have a set do let me know what you think. That goes for those with big sisters too because I see they are the same size bag

Can I be pushy and say please reply sooner than later as I don't know how long their sale goes for,.....
    Regards,
    Alpal

Thanks Jay,....I had sort of formed that opinion, sight unseen of course. Pics on the site don't really tell you all you'd like to know. I'm angling to buy a set but will wait just a little while longer in case someone else has something to say,.....

Wish I could help, but I’ve only ever had Boss Bags for leather saddlebags. They are worth the money.

I’ve always been a fan of “The Leather works” in Stockton California.

That said, a lot of guys in the BIG Harley forum swear by Viking. I don’t recall ever hearing anything negative regarding their products or customer service.

I agree they are very nice bags but by the time you convert US to Kiwi, add sales tax and import duty plus freight, we are back up to the cost of an OEM SET HERE and that's money I don't wish to spend right now. Steph still has an eye operation to have done plus a trip to Tasmania to see her son.

Understood. That’s why I qualified it as I couldn’t really help.

Just had a look at The Leatherworks in Stockton and once again that's money I don't want to spend. The Vikings are shaping up to be the ones unless someone can surprise me! Thanks for all your thoughts to date guys,......

Do a quick eBay search for “Viking saddlebags”. Might be able to score a set for less.

Make sure you get the easy brackets with them. If not you will be hitting your belt guard.

Ah- ha! That's the sort of comment I like to hear! ( which of course is crazy cos I can't hear a thing on this forum!) ( it's early huh?,...)
Thanks Bud, if and when I order I'll watch out for that,....

No worries JB, it's looking like comments ar tapering off and not much more will be added so its decision time and the decision is! ,......drum roll please,.......get em!

I have read comments about the brackets not being friendly so once they are here I'll do a run down of the fitment with pics and such for you all. May be a while happening however as I'm confined to bed from the 25th and I can't see my darling gorgeous one wheeling the scout into my bedroom. No sense of Fun sometimes that woman!:p:D

Order placed, and I got 15% off saddlebags that already had 26% taken off! Can't laugh at that! So, if anyone's looking for saddlebags or other bike bags, Viking may be the place to go. Enter NY2018 as the code for the 15% off.

I'll be back when I get them,.....
