Videoed in my backyard..
@Gina .....is that Lake of the Ozarks froze over? When was the last time that happened?
Yes it is the lake frozen over..
Last time for the main channel froze like that was 37 years ago. I remember that winter it was a brutal one that lasted 2 or 3 weeks of sub zero temps.
But yesterday was 70 and glorious. Parts of the main are deicing (?)
If your friends have docks on the lake and have not tended to them they do have damage. To keep up with power the lake has drop 3.5' last week. We have loosed cables twice now. I have never seen the lake this low.
But on another note with the cabin at the point and the main runs right in front of the point I got this picture last night.
Wow @Gina !,......that is cool,......and it reminded me of a couple I took on the weekend while camping on the beach with family at Oakura Beach, an idyllic spot a mere 20 minutes out of New Plymouth,....
New Plymouth is to the right of the pointed rocks in the distance,.....
Ahhhhh,......true love, and why not, the sky has set the mood,.....
What is kind of cool is these are taken by my phone not my camera. I seem to leave the camera when I come down for work or business. Been playing with the options on phone.
Moon disappearing this morning.
