You can get an abs trunk from Amazon and have it painted for less than those. I did it on my 2014 a few years ago.

Been thinking about it for a while, because there's never a trunk for the Scout. The thing is, it's only the mounting racks that are never fitted to the Scout, but the actual trunks are really interchangeable. So I've been toying with the idea of getting one of them trunks, a luggage rack made for the Scout, and having the trunk fixed to the luggage rack like it was a mounting rack. :expressionless:

But the Scout luggage rack is only rated to 7 lbs (or some stupid similar number). o_O

Yeah, that's one of the things that have been stopping me (that, and the money). I still think something can be done about it, maybe with a smaller trunk or a more robust mounting rack. Don't know what right now, but obviously something that can hold more than 7 pounds. I'm still ruminating on it...

I will if and when I get to it. Have other priorities for the money right now, with the new house and everything. But it's definitely something I am thinking about, and a project I might tackle next year or the one following, depending on how things turn out.

I think it's actually 5 lbs. However, I've had much heavier on it. I have a Pet Palace from Kuryakyn, and would ride out 2 Pekingese around CA in it. Together they weighed around 26-27 lbs. IMG_0382.JPG

    Yep, I hear ya!

As well as many piles of weighty junk being carried around, I regularly load up 2 cases of awesome Aussie beer - Rok-strapped to my luggage rack.

That is pretty close to 90lbs (40kgs). 5 lbs ? Ha!

I bet those pooches love riding around CA in that set-up. :partypooper::partypooper:
