    I saw on the news last week that an e-bike battery caused a fire in a High-Rise in NYC - it seems the battery was over-charged, then placed on a chair. A half hour or so later, it burst into flames

    Well a good friend of mine just packed up his 5th wheel and is up in western TN. He's starting next week as a pipefitter/mechanical supervisor at the new plant at Blue Oval City. Looks like Ford is going in headlong into the EV market. This is their biggest new operation in many decades and all they will be building there is the F-150 Lightning.

    EVs will be obsolete within 10 years or less. Replaced with fusion or hydrogen technology. JMHO

    Steph said she watched an article where Tesla's did not have the power to go up hills in snowy conditions even with chains on because it was too much hard work for the batteries in very cold weather,.......Look out Florida!!!,.....expect an influx of Tesla owners!!!!!:eek::oops:o_O:(:confused::mad::mad::mad::(:(:(,.....

    we can only hope.
    Mr. Fusion power+88mph=time travel, will have to call auto zone to see if my flux capacitor has come in yet. (Been on back order for 10 years)

    Yeah rocko, they do unless I read it wrong,.........
    "Combustion drivers pay about $11.29 per 100 miles on the road. EV drivers who charge up at home spend about $11.60 per 100 miles. The price difference is more dramatic for those who mainly recharge at stations. Frequent charging station users pay $14.40 per 100 miles."

    I expect there will be a few Tesla fires in Auckland very soon,......There has been catastrophic flooding up there with two rain bursts, one was 120mm in no time flat, the other being 250mm,......Cars and trucks have floated away, areas evacuated,......the now usual happenings when these floods occur........But once the waters gone?,.....and the EV's begin to dry out?,.....That's when the fun starts,......don't have your EV near your house people!!!!!
