I try not to trash talk people unless they are in the conversation as well.
I wonder how many over the dark side know about this sunny side?
I'm pretty sure the word went out far and wide.
Having participated somewhat on both sites referred to herein, this one is far more positive in nature. Personally I avoid attacking another person's point of view and want to use an Indian motorcycle forum to learn and experience things I do not know and or get insight into that which may help me understand my motorcycle or motorcycling better. Some of the philosophical posts are quite interesting, sometimes funny and once in a while boring, but thats ok too.
Within certain boundaries, we all need to have a little thick skin and be able to take some fun good natured ribbing or kidding and actualy laugh at ourselves too. These public websites that are forums for all of us who own or love Motorcycles (regardless of brand) is no place for viciuos personal attacks, it simply is not a manly or womanly way to be. For the most part, motorcyclists are patriotic rsther conservative types and I like being around thise kinds of people. There are a lot of smart people here whose posts have been really helpful to me and I appreciate that.
The "moderators" over there quit moderating a long time ago. That and allowing permanent trolls to remain and run unchecked is what brought the other site to its current state.
The mods here keep a good eye on the site and stop pissing contests quickly.
So even if the trolls come over here, they won't last.
Congratulations! I had my own issues with things going on there with an administrator & not sure if I was banned or not & don't care. I did a self imposed ban a long, long time ago. There were a few there that the best way to handle things would have been behind the wood shed if you know what I mean.
Most of the members here from the early days were made aware that a lot of the topics on the other site won't be tolerated here. I.e. Guns, religion and politics. These topics almost always end up with a bickering and name calling and insults. And what's the best way to not have to be PC all the time? Just don't allow those conversations. This is a Indian enthusiast forum. If people want to talk about guns then go to a gun forum. This site became a safe haven for people that did not like all the fighting and name calling. We intend to keep it that way. We could of went out and promoted the hell out of this site just to get membership numbers up and people streaming through, but we didn't. This is a site that a lot of us have been looking for without the drama. I think a lot of the trouble makers from the other site know that they won't get away with the crap they pull over there and that's why they haven't shown up.
I think we need to monitor our own self's here and keep things civil. Just talk about the one thing we all love and that's motorcycles and riding. Sharing our riding experiences. Helping others solve problems we have had and have solved. And the enjoyment we would experience if we were all together somewhere in our own MC.
I feel like Julie Andrews in that mountain top meadow in Sound of Music when I come here.

So....whats that Off-Topic Forum for?
I concur with EVERY syllable of this.
"Off-Topic" is where you go to describe that bad-ass Mustang or Chevelle you saw while you were out riding the other day.
Hahaha....yep that 4-wheeler section.
And to tell all of your online friends about the super sweet magazine article you just read. Haha!
I bet Austria has some nice twisty roads....
