    Thanks,

They use the OEM hardware...(I mentioned that in this post Springfield Lower Wind Deflector Mod's | Indian Rider - Indian Motorcycle Forums and Freedom Shields also notes that the panels do not include the mounting hardware). The Freedom panels replace the OEM panels. Note, "Marcus" is a vendor on the "other" forum that is working on a lower cost option instead of purchasing the OEM wind deflector kits. I'm not sure how far along he is in making them. Hope this helps, and if you don't want to wait to see if Marus produces the hardware, then you will need to get the Indian wind deflector kit for your bike. Hope this helps.

Great work Producer of the South! A definite winner (insert winner emoji ---> :triangularflag:- take this as a hole in one...close enough...)

Did you end up trying the new deflectors with the OEM shield as well?

I remember you saying you thought they would work well, but was just wondering if you had the chance to try that out first hand.

    Cheers, John

Thanks, John. As for trying the deflectors with the OEM windshield, I didn't get around to trying that as I just didn't want to go through remounting the hardware to the old windshield. I did get some second hand feedback through my dealer that a customer is using the new deflectors with the OEM windshield and reports they are a big improvement over the OEM deflector panels. Hope this helps with your question.

Thanks mate - looks like a good investment either way. On the list.

Now that you have solved the wind issues of the day, can you turn your mind to world peace??

They could do with some help!

Would be great if they are able to do that. I am in the market for deflectors and would hate to buy Indians just to turn around and throw out their panels and replace it with these.

I sent you a PM with Marcus' phone number so you can ask him about his plans to produce the hardware.

I ordered a set over the weekend. I really don't have an issue with the Indian ones, just have an addiction to buying shit for my bike and having a tougher time lately finding anything to buy so these were it.

They showed up today and I just installed them. To damn hot for me to go anywhere right now though. Tomorrow and Wed are supposed to get up in the hundred and teens so it's gonna be a couple days before I go anywhere on the bike.

I seen on the news how hot Arizona and New Mexico is experiencing. Hard to "air cool" a air cooled engine in that heat. Brutal heat!

What a terrific post (or should I say series of posts)! I was looking into getting lowers for my 2020 Springfield and thought I'd see what everyone thought of the OEMs. I'm so glad I stumbled across this, especially since I just purchased a Freedom windshield last month that I couldn't be happier with. I only have one question: do y'all think the Crotch Coolers I also added last month will lead to an overheating problem were I to go with these lowers? Thank you all who contributed to this post. Very much obliged!
