An idea someone came up with on the other forum: Jumbo golf club tubes. (1.5" diameter) Cut to length and slit lengthwise to pop around the fork tube
Thanks bud, I too had read about the golf tubes.. thanks for verifying, it's looks really good, so, I'll be pulling the trigger... never thought I'd be going into a golf store in all my life! Cheers! Thanks againa
By the way, I bet you don't regret buying and fitting that mudflap! ( Come in Spinner Alpal a few months late,.....). Mine has been on for ages, been through mud and blood and storms like you never believe but it's still hanging in there. Has not moved a millimetre since it went on. Alpal
Those are pretty damn badass Cameraman! A friend of mine found a crusty old dried up set of cavalry bags out in the desert near Lake Powell years ago, and brought them back to some semblance of life. I wonder if he still has those old things. They'd look great on my Scout!
An old vintage pair would be awesome. Mine are new reproductions that I distressed to get a jump on a old patina.
We all ooohed and ahhhed over them when he brought them home. They had been in a little cave/underhang up on the Waterpocket Fold for probably 100 years or so - still a little tiny bit of gold dust in the bottoms. I recall him sitting on the couch mink oiling those poor things every evening for about a month before he'd even let anyone else touch them because he was afraid they'd just crumble to dust.
I'd like to see more angles on the Scarlett - front, left side and rear maybe a cockpit view. Love the look.
Working on some of the other bikes this winter, but did this Stainless exhaust with Supertrapps last winter, and with the 1920 solo saddle, beach bars, and floorboards, I finally got the setup right for me.
