So, I was looking at another Indian forum. Fellers were talkin' 'bout way inexpensive V&H turndowns on Amazon. Thought I'd check it out.

Found non-hard bag above mentioned slip-ons for $236, including NC sales tax, free shipping. Who could pass that up, right?

So, I ordered a set. Then, I located a ceramic coating shop in Raleigh. Removed my exhaust, headers, heat shields, the works.

Took the V&Hs, the shields, and headers with their shields attached to the ceramic coat guy. 2-4 weeks, he sez. $350, he quotes.

Five weeks later, Tuesday 4/17, all are ready. I installed it all Wednesday 4/18 after work, 3:00-7:00ish.

Not bad, if I say so myself. The exhaust is "Glacier Black", including the crossover pipe.

Buying all black exhaust from Indian: $1316.00 (incl. NC tax). Cost of this project: $611, not counting my time and trips to Raleigh.

Next is a Freedom Shields recurve, then a 15" black air horn. Riding weather is here in Eastern NC.

    Giddy up!

Love the look of the pipes. My Freedom Shield for the SF arrived today.

While the pony was parked sans exhaust system, I installed a pair of Custom Dynamics Bullet Ringz, smoke lense, red ring (running/brakes), amber center (turn/hazard) LEDs. Hard to see in the photo. Found the secret to darkened front turn signal lenses in that other forum. Will post pics after the job.

@sidecarsam, not trying to out-dark ya, was just looking for some guidance.

    Ride on!
