I just installed mine. It's as well engineered as anything Indian did with the motorcycle. Particular praise is due to the directions -- excellent!

No, the shocks don't raise the lid until it's more than half-way open, but they are a far more secure restraining system than the original tethers. Not to mention the bragging rights you'll get popping the trunk among other Indian riders.

Good point, Eeyore. The instant the lid popped up at highway speeds everything paper or cloth would be vacuumed out.

Yes it does. I was at our local HD dealer a few weeks ago and I was parked with a bunch of buddies I ride with, and way across the parking lot was another Roadmaster and the owner could see my trunk lid. You know how we secretly look around observing other machines. Well he couldn't take. He walked over for a closer look. I had to get off my bike, unplug my helmet speakers and let him have a look. He had read about it somewhere. So yes, they will look. For all I know he's one here. We were ready to leave so didn't get to talk. Just a quick look and we were out of there.

Of course my HD buds are going, why is everyone always looking at that damn bike and not ours!!!! hahaha

Just got my kit installed, everything was so simple, from ordering to delivery to install. I painted the brackets first, it looks like it was that way from birth. Lol. Now the problem, what is everyone doing with the mirror. My wife says that it is useless now....gotta keep her happy. Any ideas..... 20200628_100412.jpg

Park next to pickup trucks with big mirrors. My wife uses them. One time a driver waited to pull away until she was through.

If I want one, how do I get it? I am brand new to the forum. Just picked up my 2020 Roadmaster from Sturgis dealership. The gas struts look and sound like something worth investing in. BUT...I don’t understand the PM stuff. How does it work? Can’t you just give me the link?

Go to the top of this thread; click on Kruzn's name under his avatar. On what opens you'll see a tag for Start A Conversation. Click that and type away.

    And welcome to the forum.

And yes, I have his struts and they're well worth having, install easily, and have the best aftermarket product directions I think I've ever seen.

I bought one of kruzn's kits last year - I consider this one of the better updates I've made. Not only does the lid not flop over past 90* anymore, but I think it actually closes smoother (plus I can now open it with one hand), plus most of the light is shined into the trunk.

I purchased this kit and installed it in about an hour. Great quality parts, IMO. Worth it.

I am still here and yes, the kits are still available. I took them off ebay for a number of reasons not related to the kit itself. I'm just not selling anything on ebay any more.

I answered your PM with payment details. I can also be reached at:
