I recently replied to a thread on the other Indian forum asking if the sportster was a girlie bike. This was my reply “Any bike smaller than 1340cc is a girlie bike and all of you girlie men know it. upload_2020-1-10_23-47-47.gif . upload_2020-1-10_23-47-47.gif . upload_2020-1-10_23-47-47.gif I’m over at the other Indian forum if you wanna discuss it.”

So, if anyone comes over and inquires about my whereabouts, please send them to this thread. And I standby my comment it’s a girlie bike and that’s that. ;)

Sorry, I have to disagree. It's not the size of the thing that matters, it's how you use it. ;)

As one that rode Sportsters for almost 40 years as a choice when could have bought anything I wanted could blast you well on that statement .. but I can easily see what you're doing .. :)

From this first one in early 1970 to the Last One in 2008 .. Although the 2001 might not qualify did a 1250CC Big Bore on it ..

So Bubba according to YOU ! Lol your basically saying knuckles panheads and shovelheads are all girlie bikes. I mean they would have to be in your eyes because they were all under 80” motors which equates to under 1340 cc. Hhmmmmm I believe your totally out of Line here. Your calling my 71 superglide and my 82 ElectraGlide a girlie bike ? This could be the first issue me and you are gonna have and you better take it back ! :D;)

Good point @Alpal, all the way up to the Evo, everyone was riding a girl’s bike and didn’t know it! ;) I’m pretty sure he was just kidding around and smacking the piñata over there. I don’t think he’s serious.

@ScoutBobber49 lol my man Then came Bronson ! I was 13 when the show came out. A big influence As to why I wanted to see the country on motorcycles. By the time I was 40 I’d ridden 48 of them.

Lol. I rode a sportster (1000cc) once, then I realized they made big boy bikes and bought an Electra Glide (1340cc). All BS aside, I just got tired of the “Is the Sportster” or “Scout” a girlie bike?” threads on both sites and figured I’d stir the pot. Who cares what someone else thinks of your ride, right? Hell, I rode a moped as a teenager, but you don’t see me asking what anyone else thinks about it.

Ya know, one of the reasons I never bought a Harley was that most Harley riders I came into contact with while I was riding "Jap Scrap" were bad mouthing their own rides. They'd look at my bike and say something to the effect of "If it ain't a Harley, it ain't shit!" which, if you reverse the negatives into positives, is translated to "If your bike is a Harley it is shit!" and I didn't want to ride a shit bike. I stuck with Jap Scrap for a long time. ;)

Hondas, Kawasakis, and Yamahas, and lots of 'em.

Scout's a blast. Even with the crappy 1st run suspension. That gets addressed next month.

Hey, I resemble that! But, I wasn’t a fat kid on a moped, so I’ve got that going for me. ;)
