    Thanks Jay, very informative thread. Gives me a what if feeling, that maybe if I got the factory fairing then the wind would be okay, and I'd still be some pounds under the Scout weight. I also feel that standard placement of pegs (I would add boards) might help my posture compared to forward controls leaning me backwards. It's not on my immediate to-do list, but when I go by a shop that has one, I will try to test ride it.

    Looking really good. Definitely watching all of this unfold. Keep the updates and photos coming.

    As far as calculating the new capacity goes, I will admit that I am a bit of a numpty (for most mechanical stuff), so please forgive my naïveté. Couldn’t you just temporarily seal the bottom, fill the tank with water, once full - pour that into a measuring container and determine what volume you now have?

    See, I told you I was a numpty - now I have gone and proven it ! ! !

    I'm getting it painted to match OEM 100th Anniversary as closely as possible.
