1.75 inch added to each side in the front (3.5 total), and 1/2 inch each side (1 in total) in the rear.

It's huge. I'll post comparison pics sometime in the future.

I so want a tank like that,......I have one for the Intruder but sadly it does not allow me to put my legs on my forward controls as well as the fact that the guy in the States that made it for me made it the biggest tank he made , not the middle one I wanted,.....so it sits in the box in the rafters,......20 odd years it has conversed with the bugs and the mice,.....

How much more fuel will it hold?

Unknown as of yet. I'll bring it to a radiator place to have it sealed, and see if they can judge.

Once installed I'll carry supplemental fuel and run it dry a few times to get an idea of range.
Note: I also have an upgraded front pulley which will be installed also. I'm hoping to approach the 200 mile range.

My Rebel has a 3.6 but if in an unfamiliar area might ride like a Granny for a bit to get a bit extra MPG but even at a steady 80 MPH can get 140 miles easy .. Wouldn't mind a bit more tank, but think will get by with what I have .. Looks like some very nice work done to that tank ..

I've been out of the loop. I didn't know Honda made an 1100 Rebel. Hmmmm.

So, did you get it sealed? Did you run it dry yet, and have an estimated range already? I'm really curious...

It's currently at the radiator shop being boiled and sealed. The painter I chose is out until January.
However I'll ask the radiator shop to determine capacity if they can.

[EDIT] They've no way to tell, so I'll find out after installation which is a few months away.

Ok, thanks for the update. Be sure to post some pictures once it's installed, and also to let us know what your new range is!

Hi JayFL459. Do you have a Rebel 1100? I had to give up my Scout because of my bad back, but I see the Rebel is quite a bit lighter. Could I get your opinion? Thanks Brother.

I'm hoping to Al! I've got to find something lighter & with better comfort for my arms. I had reduced reach bars on both my Scouts & still had cranky shoulders after riding. Lets see what Jay has to say about his Rebel. Might be an option for me. I'm feeling good healthwise, but I've got to be thinking about my shoulders & my back. Hell maybe I'll go back to another Intruder!!

Sweet Buddy,......if age of bike is not a concern keep your eye out for a 95 - 99 Suzuki VS800 Intruder with pullback handlebars. they are a great riding position bike which are easy on the shoulders. I know,......I have fudged a left shoulder AND a 97 Intruder,.......

Can't really recommend the Honda Rebel 1100 for comfort without doing some upgrades and wind blockage of course the Scout was the same situation for me .. If read my post called " Back in the Wind " Tells pretty much what I have done to it .. Main Reason got it was because of 2 wrist surgeries and wanted a light DCT Transmission to save my left wrist from shifting.. It a Quick nimble little ride but as most small rides are does not have the comfort a Touring Ride does ..
