Thinking Indian will play it smart hopefully They made the mistake before with Victory of trying to push too many different Models at the same time.. HD has done the same many times .. Makes more sense to me to establish the FTR and Challenger are going to be winners before trying to push the market with other untried Models at this time anyway ..

I heard a couple of things recently, from a reliable source:

    1. The Raven is supposed to be a variation of the FTR.
    2. They’re working on a smaller, more entry level configured bike, that’s based on the FTR style.

Sorry, but I don't think the FTRs are going to be a winner. They are not selling many apparently. Overpriced against the competitions and they certainly are not going to encourage new, youngish, riders into the game. Most younguns wouldn't give a hoot about the FTR. Challenger, other side of the coin, going to be massive over there in the US and I would also think Australia.

On the other forum Mr Hatt has a post from a very good inside source, that, there is definately a mid weight cruiser in the works and it won't be too far away. Raven. No pics, no info leaked apart for they are doing it.

Price remains the issue. Where are the cool affordable bikes that you can modify and thrash on?

The factory dropped the ball on the ftr. There’s an old expression, “sell them while they’re hot”. Apparently the youngunz at Indian never heard that before. It was 2 years of teasing until they finally came out. And in a time where tech and taste changes from hour to hour, well you get the picture. It’s too bad because it’s an exceptional bike. You guys know I had one for 3 days and I really miss it.

I agree. And they "seem" to have learned with the Challenger...IF indeed they start popping into dealerships by the end of November. If they wait a long time again they are shooting themselves in the foot...cause the folks that may have been considering a Challenger BUT can't get it for MONTHS will walk right over to HD and get an RG that they can ride away on right now. IMHO

I agree the Bronx will outsell the FTR 10 to 1 and even higher. For once HD have the Bronx styling bang on and that could be from the helmsman is he not European. There are looks of the 1200xr, I think that was and is a very good handling bike, and when they come up for sale here in NZ they sell quickly. I also firmly believe that if HD had stayed with Buell the Bronx bike would have been on the market years ago. So long as HD don't blow the price out, this will definitely bring in the younger guys buttttttt they have to price around the bikes from Aprilia/japan/Ducati ktm etc.

One would think the FTR the Bike that is Kicking Azz and Taking Names on the Track would do better but one never knows these days exactly what one is after in any kind of vehicle market anymore .. Definitely hoping for Indians Future the Challenger does much better .. One thing for sure it's getting attention even negative attention is good as long as reaches out and gets noticed .. Both Harley and Victory Forums have more Challenger Posts lately than their own Models .. :)

If they ride the Challenger & Road glide and compare. I believe from what most are saying they will wait for the Indian .
Remember the riding season is over for many in the US .
