Hi All, I'm new to Indian and new to the site and if I've posted this incorrect I apologize.
We been having issue starting our 2002 Spirit.
When key is turned on speedometer jumps all the way to the right and back.
Then a hum is heard from under the gas tank (can't exactly pin point where it's exactly coming from).
When pushing the start button a single click can be heard but no response from the starter
Humming is still present after trying to start the bike
The battery is bran new, fully charged, lights are bright and do not dim when pushing the start button. We would be grateful for any insight.

You are getting a click. New battery? How new?

The humming you are hearing. Where is it coming from?

Battery is bran new, bought from Batteries Plus this last Monday. Battery was charged over night and is showing as fully charged, lights are bright. The hum is heard from around or under the gas tank... I was unable to pin point the exact location of the humming.

@Bobby Jesus , bad starter and the humming is just the ignition circuit?

@theMucker may have an idea or two here. @Dadawada , certainly would.
