I don’t own a BMW and I’m retired. Someone made mention of the lawsuit, I posted a link. Your post made absolutely no sense with regards to what I posted but I’m not surprised. You make lots of condescending replies to posts that in no way concern you.

    IronButt,

I dont have a dog in this fight, but I dont think AlPal was trying to be condescending towards you.

I took it as he was commenting on the folks in the article or link you posted.

    FWIW.

@4thunder is correct ,....I was replying to the article I read that you posted @IronButt70 ,......as to condescending remarks, I don't make any, I endeavour to be my cheerful self,......I look to the happy side of just about everything however what I cannot control is how people interpret my posts,,........rest assured I was not poking a stick at you but at the person lodging the lawsuit,......

Agree with 4thunder, don't think anything said was aimed at anyone but the BMW lawsuit dude...but can also see the misinterpretation....hey....lots characters and individuals here...also good info...back to Thumper’s original post....hope you find an answer to that sensor issue.....these bikes are electronic beasts...and generally only as strong as the weakest link...if you do get your answer please share it...the post was a good question about a real Indian issue......and something helpful to know...for all of us....

I hate asking a shop for tech info but the next time I get by the dealer, I’m going to stop in and ask if they can give me a copy of whatever they have in writing on servicing it.

If I could do this I'd never leave the house and my GF's jaw would ache.

Ok. From what I understand you might have to remove part of the exhaust to get to the sensor. You have to be very careful. There is a spring in there that you don’t want to lose. You can clean it if you wish but the tech recommends you just get a new one. Brake cleaner is fine.

I'm a bit confused. The bike will start in gear with the clutch pulled in as long as the kick stand isn't down. How can this stop the bike from starting?

Can’t help you. That info came from an Indian tech on the other forum. I’d try to find it over there but I’ve been banned. You might go there and do a search for any threads related to it.

@Rocko I guess an easy way to find out would be to just unplug the sensor and see if you can still start the bike.

Thumper, I'll probably wait until I have a problem and hope it's still under warranty. Besides, me thinks that "other" site maybe spreading FAKE NEWS.:D:p:)

I’m actually planning on unplugging mine just to see what happens. Just not a priority right now.
