Spent last week at Davenport Iowa at the worlds biggest antique motorcycle meet. No, I was not looking for a new project or to be honest I was not even looking for parts. I went to visit with old friends, to drink and catch up on things and to give my family a little break from life's bullshit. I kept expecting Lonnie (The founder of the Cannonball) to walk into camp. He always came into camp to get away from the pressures of his life. Somehow felt odd that I knew he would never walk into camp for coffee or breakfast or to partake in some parting while all eyes was not on him. Anyway had a blast but this one is for you guys, I usually try to find one thing I have never seen or heard of before. This year I decided to find the coolest Indian. Now I could have taken lots of pictures of Show quality bikes, most of which I have all ready. Also there was some really nice never restored bikes, these I favor because you know they have never been messed with. LOVE THE RUST! But this one won in my book and even though you will clearly see why hardly anyone noticed the small detail that made me love it. The pinup girl on the outside of the windsheild. What the driver seen going down the road.
That's very cool. Just looking at those decals of different places gets the mind racing and imagining the stories behind them. That bike can take a person on a trip without even moving.
Seems to me he has every state of the Union on that thing, except for one,...his state of mind, which for me is in a real cool place! Good find Gina! Love it,...... Alpal
The owner was a very happy man, what man would not be happy looking at boobies riding down the road. Not sure if he rode it all the way from Washington to Davenport or pulled it off a trailer some where along the way and rode. ( I know a lot of our guys in our chapter take great pride in riding this old bikes cross country) Either way I think it was the most interesting Indian there. The part I thought was most interesting and I had never seen one before is the little extra above the taillight. When you hit the brakes this thing would light up and bob from side to side. I tried to get video of it in action but I was either playing monkey in the cage ( that was a blast and I had a sheriff start following me and the Wooly man around, I think I was having to much fun ) or was drinking.
Well hi @CaptMdnght ! Is that a name I recognise from an alternate universe? I think it is,.... Welcome Buddy! Good to have you here, and if you aren't who I think you are, damn it! Welcome anyway! Alpal
