They have my bike on Copart now if anyone is looking for a project. If interested, I can email you a copy of the itemized repair estimate. The tins are a big chunk of the repair cost and have some scrapes and rub marks but no dents that I noticed. You could get them painted and save a bunch over replacing them or leave them as they are if you wanted and just ride it.

The Copart lot # is 57093189.

No I’m not. I am going to have a pile of medical bills I’ll need to get taken care of before I can even think about getting another bike. It also has Indian stage 1 mufflers and stage 2 cams, and a FM tune.

I don’t even know if I’ll be able to ride again yet. That depends on whether or not I regain the use of my right arm and hand.

Are you doing any physical therapy and if so do you seem to be making progress?

I'm curious to see what your bike sells for @thumper. I have no clue about salvage values.

I hope your arm continues to heal. With all the bike damage on the right side of the bike, it's not surprising that your right arm took a beating.

Actually, my right arm was fine until about a week after the accident. The hand and arm began to go numb and swell. They did an ultrasound and found I had developed a clot in my arm just above the elbow. My right clavicle,, scapula and six ribs got busted up pretty bad though.

Thumper, just curious but would like to know...shouldn’t Medicare and a supplemental be taking care of the med bills? I ask because I am new to Medicare (65 last July)....

And again, hoping for your healing.....injuries from a bike wreck is always just horrible news to a anyone who loves doing it....

It depends on what supplemental you have. I have a Medicare advantage plan with an annual deductible of $5,900.00 a year. I can potentially have another $5,900.00 yet for 2020. All the 2019 charges haven’t come in yet and the bills are already over $19,000.00. I could potentially have $11,800.00 just in deductibles plus any co pays. This is my first time using Medicare so I’m hoping for the best but planning for the worst. I’m being seen by five Doctors related to the accident. The co pays for just my Physical Therapy are $120.00 a week.

Wow did not know you went down my thoughts and prayers go out to you Thumper. Unfortunately I’ve been down several times myself and I know the older we get the harder the healing is. I hope it all comes together for you.

@thumper .....do not skip the PT ....not one hour or one day.
My daughter pounded that I'm my head when they put "this Humpty Dumpty back together again".
If you don't keep moving the joints they will lock up and the muscles will deteriorate quickly also.
My OWN daughter turned me in to the DR stating I was non-compliant by not doing my exercises at home..... little turd! Lol
I suffered a longer recovery as a result.
    PITA but important.

Roger that and thanks Brother! It ain’t gonna beat me but to be honest, I’m really getting too old for this shit. The last four years have been Kickin my ass.

That said, I might have to go back to AZ for a hearing in March. If I do maybe we can get together for lunch.

Was the accident your fault or negligence by someone else?
