Finally met up with Gina and Bill (or as she calls him, Boy-Toy).
They met us at the Lawrence KOA in Kansas for some drinks and pizza. Had a lot of fun. Gina is exactly as I thought, just a fun loving gal that loves bikes and being crazy. Bill is so laid back, wish I was more like that. ( so does my wife Yuko!)

I’ve never been a good picture taker. I always have bad hair, screwy eyes, something.
    Your picture is fine.
We had a blast with you guys and hope to get to do it again.
Hope Bills knee heals fast where he can get back up on one of those beautiful bikes.

I've kicked around using KOA. What's your experience been?
    Recommend?

Great, they don’t mind dogs (pits and alike they frown on though at some koa’s). Several types of cabins (one type is one large bed and a set of bunk beds, microwave and small refrigerator, outside grill, porch with swing, and a large picnic table), they also have full kitchen with bathrooms at others. Tent and camper/ motor home sites. Some koa’s have full hook up (sewer, water, electrical, WiFi). All have community bathrooms, laundry and a small store and most have a swimming pool.
The one we stayed at in Canton, Tx had a bar, brewery ( I was right at home) bbq restaurant, and other stuff, including a pond for fishing.
Only the small cabins allow dogs along with tent and rv sites usually.
Highly recommend. Prices are $25-150. Tents are cheapest, top of the line cabins the most.
Sometimes (holidays and parts of summer) you sometimes have to book for a three day weekend or Friday to Friday.
We usually book 6 months to a year in advance (better deals sometimes) but have booked a site the same day we arrive. West St. Louis back in 17 comes to mind (storm we just couldn’t outrun, lol).
Cancellation is free if it’s one month ahead at most of them. Cancelled one in Kansas back in 17 and it cost $10, same storm as above, just couldn’t ride in it anymore, thought it was the end of times, lol).
Hope this helps, we’ve never had a bad stay and met some kickass folks on bikes and other types of travelers, roamers and gypsy’s. Lol

    Holy cow sounds like home!.
Is it required to be a member?
I think Jeri and I may lean towards this option.

You don’t have too I think but I bought a membership cause I collect points and have stayed free sometimes. We usually stay at least two sometimes three weeks at various ones during our travels in a year.
I’m telling you some are better than a lot of motels/hotels (motel 6 springs to mind, don’t get me started! Lol). Plus you can park the bike right next to the cabin.
