Had one of those honey-do thingies to take care of, so made a little run as the weather was perfect for a ride. On the way home, a really attractive black lady in a very nice black Lexus pulled up next to me at stoplight and said: "that is the most beautiful bike I have ever seen." Aw shucks...
Had a very pretty Valkyrie awhile back. Came out of Lowes and two black ladies each about double my weight were admiring it, complimented me on it when I arrived. "Thank you," I said. "I use it to pick up pretty ladies, and here I am without an extra helmet!" They howled with laughter. I rode away chuckling.
Got to love that. Was at Biketoberfest Saturday & Sunday, was great to see the tribe growing in numbers... well represented and lots of folks seem to stop to admire the bikes.... pretty cool... much like your experience. Always a good thing!!!
At least progress. Assume they were on the grips at impact? I had a very mild glancing encounter of the unfortunate kind with a concrete rail as I spun a Honda CRX Si in the rain. Hardly felt the forward Gs but sprained both wrists a bit on the steering wheel.
I’m dealing with the same shit. All but one Doc are convinced it’s in my elbows. The one, thinks it’s in my neck but can’t seem to get the VA to go any further with it. All the others are work comp case Doc’s. Have had surgery on both elbows now and ain’t done shit. Both hands still numb and painful. Fortunately mine is just the ring, little finger and palm back to the wrist. Hope yours gets better.
I used to get a lot of women complimenting my bike. Since the rainy season started, coupled with the fact I don’t wash it, the compliments have gone way down. That’s fine with me since for the most part, I don’t like people anyway.
