I have a friend of mine that just bought a 2022 chieftain Limited and does not care for the fairing At all. He was wondering if they bolt up and are interchangeable. Of course more wiring would have to be done due to spot lights and turn signals. Anyone have a clue on this ? I’m thinking yes only because inner fairing is identical. But not sure. We were talking this morning so I thought I’d throw it out there because the dealer is closed due to the Holiday

I'm pretty sure that you would have to change the backing and mounting hardware as well.

Anything is doable with enough work .. But sounds like a project I would pass on ..

I’m gonna talk to the head mechanic at the dealership I deal with and see what he thinks. My thinking on this is being as they still make both fairings and the inner fairies are identical it shouldn’t be that hard. I’m thinking in terms of assembly line reasons…. But I could be way off base to

Can't hurt to Ask .. I have changed several fairings and they were easy enough, but were also Factory replacements ..

For what it’s worth I found out it’s not worth it. My service guy said they mount different and there brackets under there the locomotive style Has on the inner that are missing on the Batwing. His word’s timely and costly live with it or sell it and start over. :( My friend wasn’t happy. I said to him if your gonna drop $30g you really need to know what you like

I also really prefered the locomotive fairing, but oh well... Not a deal breaker.

Myself I don’t see me getting away from it. It was one of my biggest draws to the Indian look
