This is an interesting one. I am only 5'8.5" (don't forget that 0.5" - it's very important to me!). I haven't had any real issues with the kickstand on the SF. Maybe my legs are disproportionate, but it all seems to work OK. There is a bit of a final flick action when I push the stand down to help it get to full extension, but on the way up, it seems quite reachable. I don't really shuffle forward on the tank, it seems more like a slight lean back to extend the left leg a fraction in order to reach the base of the stand. Anyways, I guess I am saying maybe try a few method changes before spending the cash! But up to you - of course!
