When I was a kid I could turn that crank all day knowing what I’d get first. Now, 40+ years later, bad wrist, elbows, shoulders and back, I could probably turn it 5 min....lol

Did it many times as a kid also at Grandma's house. Damn good stuff! Add the fact we got to eat it with Grandma's blackberry cobbler....oh... heaven baby heaven.

Can’t decide which grandmother cobbler I like best, peach, cherry, blueberry or blackberry.
Damn thing is, nobody makes cobbler any more and a lot don’t even know what a cobbler is. They call it pie! WTF!!!!

The best cobbler was the fruit or berry that was in season.

I have one of these in the attic. You may have just inspired me to drag it out for the first time in several years.

I couldn’t make ice cream. I’d eat it all before it was ready. I stopped cooking boiled peanuts for that reason. I’d eat half pot of em while they were cooking. I call it testing them out.

I’d been promising the wife I’d make ole fashion ice cream for about two months now, finally remembered to get all the ingredients together and run out of other stuff to do. So drink a beer and make ice cream seemed like a end of day thing to do. The two- four legged shits love homemade ice cream. Hoping it don’t give’m a runny tummy.......::

Hole, what hole? I got caulk, sawdust, expanding foam, hole saw. If there’s a hole I can seal it. Where’d you notice a hole @Baldhead_J ?

When our kids were younger and we would go camping we used different size coffee cans one inside the other. Mix in the small one and inside the big one packed with ice. Lids taped shut and had them roll the cans back and forth until the ice cream was ready.
Great treat camping in Arizona at Roosevelt lake.

Hahaha... very creative @Rawhide. They burned off all that kid energy and got rewarded in the end. Had to be a sight to see also!
