The joke being how many threads on this and the other Indian forum seem to be Harley related. I gotta admit, they're right.

    That's it.

Maybe there are so many because there are so many former Harley riders who now own Indians.

That's the punch line of the joke, btw.

If I had a Harley, I'd give it to a thief, I'd take the insurance money and buy an Indian Chief.

Let's see how they like that one.

It's kinda hard not to talk "Harley" when people ask you what model of "Harley" your Indian is ... the last time someone asked me that, I just grinned and told him it was their new FSCP "Scalper" model and he should go to his nearest dealer check 'em out. They won't have 'em on the showroom floor because of the higher than normal demand, but you can special order them if you know who to talk to.

There is no question I bring HD up now and then .. Pretty hard not to do when spent 40 Years of your Riding life in a Harley Saddle .. But think have made it very plain I love my Indian First and Foremost, but do like having a carbed no brainer back up just in case .. Besides my Great Grandson Preferred It So That Counts Too .. :)

Ditto Buddy. You know, for all the modern up to date gear on new bikes, they still break down or have their little failures and it seems they have them much more than modern day cars do. That has been my experience anyway,....hence the reason I have a backup in the form of my Trusty Intruder. I found this to be the case even when I had the Harley. When you don't have a car you can't afford to have your steed losing a shoe or something.........

That's why I have a Scout and a Vintage. I seriously doubt they could both break down at the same time. Could happen though. Maybe I should buy a Roadmaster, just to be on the safe side.
