    I'll start with a trivia question - Have you ever seen the name Paul Henning as a writer for classic TV?
    Anyway, he was a local from here (buried in nearby cemetery).
    At one time, there was a hotel in Eldon, Mo called the Burris Hotel. Paul wrote about it but called it the Shady Rest Hotel - Petticoat Junction. Also -Green Acres and some Beverly Hillbillies (they were from around the Branson area).
    So, it turns out - I live in HOOTERVILLE.

    I also remember some episodes of the Beverly Hillbillies mentioned they were from Bugtussle, Tenn. I think the location changed a few times throughout the series.
