Anyone know of a good site or way to create and download GPX files? I have a new toy that needs to download those type files rather than trying to create a route on the phone itself. I've tried Google maps but I don't believe that is an option.

    Thanks Alpal ;)

Revit has that feature on their route planning site. It works pretty good. Seems to be about the only thing Revit does well. And I have had good luck with the Indian Ride Command site if making it to download to the bike.

I'm confused...But not about GPX files.
Garmen has a software called base camp. It is a little wonky to use but it works. I have step-by-step instructions that I follow every time I plan a route on basecamp. Let me know if you want a copy.

I have played with BaseCamp and wonky is an understatement. If you could PM me your instructions I would much appreciate it. And FWIW I found a website that has GPX files uploaded from riders all over the US. There may be some for other countries but I never looked. You can load the files into BaseCamp and then import them to your device. The site is not free but the cost is minimal. I’ll post the URL when I get home later for anyone interested.

    Will do, @IronButt70.
Yes, more like frustrating a hell! I regularly stop, delete, and start over. That's one of the big problems with Basecamp: not being able to easily back out of a mistake.

    Got it. Thanks!
It would be nice if you could just go back to the last turn and start over from there.
