Someone told me that is the case. Anyone know if it’s true? GOAZ now owns the Scottsdale Indian store an I’m curious if it is now owned by the people that own the H-D store.
The answer is yes which means the Scottsdale Indian Dealer is now owned by the same people that own Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale. When I walked into what was my favorite shop regardless of brand yesterday, my heart sank. It was like walking into a tuxedo rental shop. All the employees were well kept in appearance and were all wearing uniforms. No one was armed and they even cleaned the shitter and the coffee pot for crying out loud! It was way to antiseptic for my taste. I doubt I’ll be back unless I need work on the bike which is beyond my or my local wrench’s ability or tool chest.
I hear ya...Indian of Charlotte and Myrtle Beach (owned by the same group) are that way. But they actually back it up with great service and support. My dealer is more the type you speak of but they have new people in there every time I go in...they can't keep help. Seems the own is into heavy micro-management and it seems to kill the enthusiasm.
I just learned something else. The new owner of the Scottsdale Indian store is not only the Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale owner. He also owns Go Daddy. I guess the bike dealerships are just his hobby.
He owns lots of businesses in Scottsdale under YAM Worldwide; film studio, PXG golf, furniture, and more. Our Founder - YAM Capital In a way, I'm looking forward to see GoAz ramp up Indian brand to the next level. Double D's Performance did an excellent job at promoting Indian motorcycle and Scottsdale dealership in Phoenix valley, but very limited on personnel. Good thing is Double D's crew will remain on staff both in sales and services. Summer 2019 GoAz will open a new Indian showroom just down the street from HD of Scottsdale.
