Almost two years in the making, Final add was the stage 2 with the Lloyds tune. Not running just right, but Joey at Music City wants to take another look. Also, can't get the MPG to reset when I fill the tank so I can keep up with the MPG in different situations, like hiway vs mountains riding. Nearest I can tell so far i can get about 45 if I can stay out of the throttle. I still want to get the bars back about 2" so I'm not bending over the tank as much. Rox doesn't have a riser for the Chief yet, But I believe I can modify the one for the Scout to work. Any advice on this is welcome.
I'll probably be going the week after. Although I could just trailer it up and leave it for him to do what he needs to fix the tune and the ride command problem. Let me know what time you think you might be going and I'll try to meet up. I'll have to coordinate it with work.
Thats a great looking bike! You say two years in the making....didn't they just roll that bike out in '21? I know we all have our 'favorites'....Fuel Moto seems to have their tunes dialed in nicely for the Indian line....plus it's a "lifetime" tune...if you change anything, you can just email them and they send you a new one.....you can also record a ride "log" with a PV3 and email it to them for them to analyze....I've been very happy with them....ymmv !
Fuel Moto told me they didn't have tunes for the Chief yet. Wanted to go that route because I already have the PV3 from my RM.
I read you can, but you have to pay like half the price of the original purchase to switch bikes, (to unlock it, seems like the term was married to the bike so a divorce per se). That could be fake news....just saying. 4T
I believe that's right. They weren't able to unlock the Chief yet. But, yeah, a couple of hundred for the unlock, but no need to buy the PV3 agian.
Once you own a PV3 (purchase includes a tune), you can use it on any bike for an additional $250/tune. If you're interested, I'd call FM ....I can't imagine why they wouldn't have a tune for your bike by now....anyway, good luck !
Looks like I'll be tied up at work Thursday. was looking forward to seeing you. Perhaps another time. Still need to get that beer. What's got you going to Nashville? No problem with the bike, I hope. Tell Joey I'll see him next week.
