I would think this might be more of a problem with the Thunderstroke engines, being air-cooled and all that? Though I admit that on liquid-cooled ones the heat coming from the ventilator when it fires up can also be annoying on hot summer days, so maybe that could be it.

The Scout and the Intruder pump out a lot of heat when the fan comes on but I would hardly say it's annoying,.....

Come over here in August :tearsofjoy:

Only annoying when you're waiting in a stoplight, though.

Well, since we are talking heat from a Pursuit, I will provide my observations. I was able to get a 160 mile ride in on new years day thru the TN GA backroads and did about 50 miles on the interstate on the way back to just see how it handled in heavy traffic.

1st is not about the heat but Wow... the Pursuit makes the RM feel like my RM made my HD UC feel when I first rode a RM back in the day if you get what I mean... great ride, excellent handling in the twisties and more comfortable than the RM. So far, the Pursuit is better than expected.

2nd is heat... it was 72f and I had the lower fairing vents closed for the start of the ride but about 5 minutes into the ride, at slow speed (`45 mph), I found that I needed to open the lower vents. My right boot was hot enough to hurt when my leg touched the inside. So, I opened the right vent about half, that seemed to make the heat acceptable for the time being. About 30 minutes into ride my left leg was getting really warm, so I opened the left vent about half way. All seemed ok for a while but about hour later I opened both vents all the way which made it comfortable but still a little warm. On the interstate, I kept the vents fully open but I really did not like the wind around my legs and could feel the heat drifting up and hitting my face a little.

I guess when summer gets here, I will really see what the heat feels like, but at stop lights it really did not feel any different than the RM.

    Just my $.02.......

A8265C77-4B97-4E1F-BF7C-09987866E5EC.jpeg 2 friends just recently bought Pursuits. Burgundy one is a 22, Blacked out one is a 23. They really like them but both have the same complaint. The heat coming off the radiator on the right leg is bad even with the lower vent open.

I bet that fan is blowing heat off that front header also

Piggybacking off my above comment, maybe some exhaust wrap on the front header would help eliminate a lot of heat. Might be worth experimenting with.

Minimal changes between the 2022 and 2023 depending on how you look at it. New headlight, slipper(?) clutch, eh.... I love my 2022 Pursuit DH. What a great bike. Came from an 18' Springfield DH.

You would think and I agree. My 111 even living here in Arizona and riding year round not bad. A cross wind at times and I will feel some heat on my upper inner thighs but it’s about the only time I feel any

The heat is coming from the radiator according to both owners
