May you all have a truly happy Christmas and a blessed New Year. I have deeply appreciated the friendship and advice that I have found on this forum and as part of the Indian motorcycle community over the last two years. I also really enjoyed my first nearly 12,000 miles on a Scout 60; it is so nimble and such brilliant fun. I had intended to keep it for many, many years. Even after it spat me off back in May, I hoped that the matter would be quickly and convincingly resolved, and I anticipated that my Scout ownership would continue. Well, Polaris has honoured the warranty and even covered costs that were incurred when the bike dumped me in the road, and I am grateful for that. Well done Polaris and well done the dealer. And after getting the bike back, I enjoyed nearly 2,000 more miles on it; it’s a great bike without any true competition. However, I found myself wondering what the next issue might be and whether it would still be covered under warranty and, if it was, whether I would lose another riding season waiting for it to be dealt with; reluctantly, I began to consider changing the Scout in the next couple of years. So, when I was unexpectedly offered a good trade in on a bike I had considered before purchasing the Scout, I decided to take the risk and make the change. I might have considered a Chief if my budget had extended that far, and I know the well documented issues I have to watch out for with my latest ride, but I am stoked to now have a 2014 FXDL in my garage and look forward to putting some proper miles on it when the rain washes away the ice and salt. So, the time has come for me to say, ‘farewell’ and thank you for helping to make my Indian years happy years.

Just because you jumped ship doesn’t mean you can’t hang out here with the big boys.

I’m sure I speak for many here by saying we hope you enjoy that good looking new bike of yours. The only way we will know though, is if you drop in from time to time and tell us.

Regardless, I have enjoyed reading your words here and wish you and yours the Merriest Christmas and a happy New Year and beyond.

It's amazing. I think I've read at least 4 different posters on the various forums in the last couple of years that came on to say farewell and then went on to say how much they loved and enjoyed their Indian and how great their dealer was to them. Amazing

Hi Graham, all the best with your new ride and a big thanks for your support and messages about our Scouts. Like others have said, be nice to hear from you from time to time as this forum is much more than Indian Motorcycles, it’s about making friends and sharing our passion for riding no mater what make or model you ride. A Merry Christmas from Burtland (we will have the sun block out, going to be a cracker day on the east coast-:)

Well, thank you one and all. You're the kind of community that makes motorcycling a joy. I will miss the regular interaction but, sure, I may surface occasionally. And you're welcome to message me if ever you want to. Bike safe and enjoy the road ahead. No matter what the weather, you're always riding into sunshine.

I do hope to see you here now and then but as a Dyna Owner myself, have a feeling our paths will cross elsewhere as well ..

Sorry to see you go @Graham UK. As stated above, you don't have to be a stranger. You will be missed. But at least you are still on 2 wheels - the brand doesn't really matter.

What the hell,Graham? You may be the first one I’ve read on this forum the got off an Indian for a Harley, but there are many guys on this forum who own Harleys and Indians and aren’t ashamed to admit it. i.e. JayFL459 and others. The point here is that when you have problems with your new, and I must add nice looking Harley, and you will have problems, what better place to get them solveed than right here. Remember, everyone here knows your name. Cheers, Mate.
