TL;DR: Globalization, corporate conglomeration, and building to the strictest emission standard.

Sadly, with California moving to end the sales of ICE lawn equipment it's like "they" are coming for my V-Twin... But for now my large displacement twin and my hemi are safe in my garage.

I look out into the future and think of big bike event's..... Sturgis, Daytona etc. It will kill those venue's. I can't phantom anyone riding to these events anymore with electric bikes.

Well it is the end for all combustion engines in the UK by 2030. every thing has to be electric. they are also wanting to stop the sales of all new vechicals and everyone has to either catch a bus or hire a car or ride in another persons car. Sales of any new type of transport is only going to be for the super rich.
I see Italy have banned in law all off road motorcycling and if you want to, you have to apply for a permit and it can only be on a road no less than 2.5 meter wide (8 Feet) the highest style of bike sold there is adventure. and that has got to hurt Ducati and others big time.
Hang on to you bikes everyone get away from heavily controlled bikes with electronics as they are going to bring controllers, give time and date speed back to a authority which will instantly fine you
for braking any road rules and automatically deduct this cost from your bank account. this is what is under way in the UK.
One might say that your phone tells those of the state where you are but what UK are trying to do is invade your privacy 100%.
It would seem that this is a world wide thing an no country going to be immune.

Read the article….. interesting. Had two dodge pick ups with Hemi’s … got rid of them both after a couple years each… gas mileage was horrible. Oh well…. I guess opinions are like assholes…. Everyone has one!

I was listening to a auto show on the radio yesterday and the host was interviewing a car guru and brought forth something I wasn't aware of. If you own a Tesla the only thing a local shop (Indy) can do is tires or brakes. Any other work has to be performed by Tesla which requires you shipping it to California.
