I got 70,000 miles on my Vintage and my clutch start to slip when I try to pass at 65-70 mph. Does anyone had to change the clutch at this millage and how much did you pay?

75,000 on mine and no slippage. What oil are you running?
I’ve been running Amsoil for 50,000 miles.

When I went to the 585 cams and tune, my clutch started slipping. Seems like it was @$300 I put new plates and springs in and all was good...until a valve dropped.

I have no idea if this will help, but an oil change is cheaper than a clutch. Try one of the full synthetic oils designed for motorcycles and see what happens.

Any chance you need to adjust the clutch cable/lever.....?
That clutch cable may have stretched some with that much use......70K miles

I would Start with a clutch adjustment on the cable first. If you’ve been using the same oil all along and it was the oil. I guarantee you would have had this issue long ago. Everyone rides different and things like 2 up loaded down and others reflect on your clutch life. Hence rev up to 4500 rpm,s and dumping the clutch lol just throwing different riding habits out there ;)

Scout oil is synthetic but big sister bikes are semi-synthetic blend here in the States.

The 20w40 I believe was semi synthetic. But the 15w60 is full syn. I switched at 500 mile change to full syn myself with no issues but I run 20w60 Redline

although clutch's usually last . one thing to consider. riding city w/75000 miles an riding open roads with 75000 miles. way more usage of the clutch. also one improper adjustment can ruin it in 1000 miles. Had that happen to me from a HD dealership. an actually it was 125 miles it burnt

Very possible. My cable was reinstalled slightly out of adjustment when the trailering damage was repaired and caused a slight slip under heavy acceleration. Adjustment cured it.

Is there a video somewhere showing how to adjust the clutch cable?

If You're talking about the oil Muz, it may depend on which dealer you're talking to and which guy behind the counter,......I was told quite clearly by a parts guy up north that only full synthetic was available so that's what I've been running. Looked at other oil but freight and having to buy a filter on top made the Indian oil an easy choice,....How you been anyway?,......may come for a ride soon,.....ACC will be fixing my knee in the new year so I'd better get in some good riding,......
