Anyone know where you can get blacked out hardbag latches...corrected...I mean hinges?
I've seen one bike online that had the latches blacked out but cannot find a supplier for them.
    Thanks

    Thanks!

The bike has the blacked out lock bezels. That I think is new for 2018. Why they didn't go ahead and do the hinges also I don't know. But that is what I'm looking for are the blacked out hinges. I could not find them on the site.

Definitely a Better Option .. Leaving mine be, as mentioned before have settled for the Mixture of Black and Chrome at what it would either cost and/or all the work involved removing perfectly good working Acc's .. Especially when couldn't find any Black Exhaust that truly floated my boat, more to come on that on another Thread .. Top Coat shines Chrome quite well as it does Matte Paint .. Am sure probably seen this picture Before Most of you anyway, but to switch all the Chrome to Black even if went the cheapest way, pulled them all myself and did all the work myself sanding, prepping and painting everything with Flat Black, way to much trouble, especially when can't get get the Exhaust and AC Cover I want in anything but Chrome ..Strictly my Decision on my Ride .. Wish you all the best whatever you decide ..

Hinges can be powdercoated and exhaust sheilds can be ceramic coated i actually had mine powdercoated and just put a piece of exhaust wrap at all the contact points to prevent bubbling up 20170622_204754.jpg

Do you have any pics? Would like to see how it turned out.

Doesn't, Kuryakyn make a set of "hard bagger" hinges, like you're talking about? I believe they are meant to replace the stock Indian rounded "bumper/script" style, because they are long and oval shaped and come in chrome or blacked out... I don't remember them being priced at $500 a pop, but my memory ain't quite what it use to be, Cuz!...

Mine were powder coated black. I had an incident with the center stand & soft asphalt that resulted in scratches to the left side latches and just received the replacements yesterday, installed this morning. I now have a set for one bag that I'll be selling at a 'scratch & dent' price.

These are the damaged (obviously) hinges:

Just powder coat 'em and forget it. Plastidip works great, but it comes in a large can for a reason. You'll need it again.

If these end up peeling off too much, I'll powder coat them then.

Those turned out pretty darn good.

I've never used Plasti Dip, but I'm told when your ready to go back, you just peel it off the part. Is that true?
