From Janus Motorcycles Is Building New Bikes The Old Way : "Although the engine is from China, the rest of the bike is all-American. In fact, nearly all of it is built within 20 miles of Goshen, with a great deal of involvement by the Amish community."
Riding a bike once a year seems so sad. Maybe needs to go to a good home that will take it out for a run more. : )
I thought my Springfield was one of the prettiest and best looking bikes I have ever owned. The bike handled really well and was simple to maintain. It is still my personal favorite of all Indian bikes made and down the road if a deal arises to snag another one that may be someone’s un ridden “garage queen” who knows, I may own another one. Frankly regret selling/trading my first one.
I just I haven't ridden standard Springfield....but I just LOVE my Sp DH......the narrow front tire really allows the bike to handle like a dream.....stage II with no fairing or tourpack weight keeps the power to weight ratio quite favorable and makes it a HD killer.....very tempted to bump up to a 116".....who knows?
