When, I first saw the Challenger on the internet, I immediately envisioned immense popularity and sales increases for Polaris. Yesterday, when I went to see the Challenger, I spoke with a guy who had ridden one. He didn't like it, because he said that he felt like he was riding (gasp), a Gold Wing. He added that Indian has lost some of the V-Twin "edge" by making it, and that particular dealership had received three, and has only sold one. Supposedly, people are coming to look, but not buy,

I'm one of the biggest supporters of Indian in Northern America, but the comments and the sickles sitting there on the showroom floor started making me a little paranoid.

I think Polaris will move a lot of these bikes.
Springtime into Summer will be a good overall gauge.

I've NEVER seen this much hype and positive initial impression for a motorcycle. This reminds me of when there's a new Mustang, Camaro, or Corvette. I sincerely believe this will curb the slides we saw last quarter.

Also that hideous disco ball painted "elite" Chieftain has finally gotten a coat that doesn't look at home in a 1970's bordello. It still lacks real performance options, but hey, some people are into made-up hussies.

That's just one person's opinion Gator,.....Contrast your man with the one I met at the dealer in Wellington the other day,......He had just bought the first Challenger and was like a little schoolboy after getting his first kiss in the playground.

I haven't heard what the 3 St Louis/Metroeast Indian dealers are doing on sales regarding the Challenger.
Big St Charles Motorsports is still reeling from the fire earlier this year.
Everything is on the Harley lot under massive tents as of a week ago.

Yes. Stu’s in ft lauderdale. We have one in ft Meyers also. I believe we sold 4 challengers so far. Sold a roadmaster and chieftain Darkhorse today. I left early so I don’t know what else went out.

My dealer has sold six. I think the Challenger will be a BIG hit. Too many dealers don't know their product. I went into a dealer in Houston a few days ago and they were ignorant. They told me that the Challenger Limited had heated seats and grips! They knew nothing about the bike other than it had a frame mounted fairing. I 'nicely' said I don't think so on the heated seats/grips. They looked all over, lol, and finally said, "I think you're right." Polaris needs to either boot these Harley dealers in big cities who bought the franchise to freeze the product, make them step up, or bring in new dealers.

Ha! Now that you tricked me into opening this, I decided to vote.

Seeing as there was no option given for "can we please have a break from all this Challenger chat", I went for too early to tell.
