Hello all. This is my first post. I really like the new crimson metallic limited model. Has anyone here bought or know any info about the 2021’s? I’ve wanted to get a RM since they came out a year after the chieftain. My wife and I ride together so the roadmaster is the bike for us. We’ve been riding a Suzuki C109RT for a long time. We are ready for a big change. It’s a huge investment, good or bad if anyone’s got experience I would love to hear. Looking forward to joining this community of Indian owners soon.
I have a 2018. There's a few things different about the 21 model but not much. The 21 has the rear cylinder deactivation for instance which is supposed to help reduce the heat at traffic lights etc. I personally have never really needed that. Mine also doesn't have the slotted vent in the lower fairings that can be used to put more air on the legs if desired. I like the solid ones like I have and wouldn't trade up if it was offered to me. I'll say this, if you get a 21 RM and it turns out be dependable as mine you should be well pleased.
i just made the plunge. Just purchesed the Crimson Metallic RM Limited. I'm in central Ohio, and only had a couple days to get out on it so far, But love the heated seat and grips in this mid 30's weather. Can't wait until weather dries up a bit so i can start putting the miles on. So far love everything about the bike, looking forward to see how it is after my first summer with it.
I also pulled the trigger on a RM limited. This is my first brand new bike. Decided to go overboard extras. Cams, full Rinehart exhaust with slimline front pipe. Also having them put the pathfinder headlight and driving lights. Ugg. Still want more. LOL.
I have a 2017 RM Burgundy Metallic stage I ....@23K miles....great bike. No issues....set it (maintain it), forget it, ride it. I haven't ridden an RM with the narrower front tire/wheel, but imagine it falls into the turns with very little steering input.....
I haven’t taken delivery yet, but I’m coming from a C109RT with a 240 rear tire. It was not happy in twisties. I could drag my floorboard without trying. so looking forward to owning a bike that loves turns!!!
Congrats on your first new bike! The RM is, as one of my friends commented, " the most fun 900 lbs you'll ever ride...".
