I was slow on the uptake on this event. The Saddlemen HD that was almost 300# lighter than stock DNF'd. The turbo HD 46 seconds down and 7 seconds slower a lap. Jeez Louise that says something about the Challenger engine and chassis, dunnit?

1936 technology VS state of the art watercooled technology. It was really a fun, silly concept. An RM would have fared- will fare NO better against a Chally. If HD put the Vrod engine in a bagger 10 years ago (they should have) then you'd have worthy competition.

They're gonna do more of it. That's pretty exciting and should point to an expanding aftermarket.

I nominate @NickJ 's post of the race video for post of the year.

My Teamster Brothers are really getting tired of me running my mouth! (They ride HD's)
I was asking them if they seen this race....none did. I shared with them it had 13 teams... 11 HD & 2:Indians. I said SPOILER ALERT... Indian placed 1st & 3rd.....LOL

If you can’t get enough of this race, like me, check out YouTube for this footage from a guy who filmed and narrated from the top of the media center. He stated that was the best view you can get of most of the track. This shot gives a great perspective of the speed that O’Hara had.
