I have the 2019 Roadmaster. When it gets dark my instruments turn very red to the point that you can't read them. I realize I have the center screen to read but I don't like the bright red of the outer instruments. I there some way to change that? I think a clear would be much easier to read. The 2020's with the dark faces are much better and can read at night with the white back light.
    Thanks!

I had the same problem. With my vision I couldn't read the gauges with the red lights. I swapped out the gauges with the black bezels and white back lights. Problem solved. Only issue is you nor the dealer can set the odometer to what it was when you swap them. You will start back out at zero. So I just add 1400 to whatever is on my odometer.

I couldn't read the gauges on my scout at all after dark. Even to work out the speed I'd have to look at the angle of the needle and remember what numbers are printed at that angle. I blamed the red lighting too.
Then one night I tried riding with my glasses on and could hardly believe how well I could read every detail on the instruments. Guess I'm a slow learner.
I still hardly ever ride with glasses on but at least now I know.

I better give that a go, makes sense but I would prefer to not wear glasses while riding at night.

Yeah apparently some people have problems specifically with reading red light at night time. Good eyes or bad eyes, some requiring reading glasses others not. It's a weird one. I would prefer the black gauge with a white light behind it. Anyway @Alpal, about time Indian upgraded the Scout don't you think? Actually, I will start a new thread on that topic. Cheers mate, enjoy the week of rain upon us.

I have to really dim the Infotainment screen to read my gauges at night. My 2020 RM is also that stupid red lighting - when Indian sent out a questionnaire after I bought my bike, this was one of the issues I brought up.

I struggled with this until I discovered that auto-dim setting. It was blinding at first.
